Toddifer's Engagement Story

As we finalize plans for our wedding in 35 short days, I wanted to take time to share all the details from one of my favorite days - the day Todd asked me to marry him!! He did so good and planned out every single detail of the day and the best part was I literally had NO IDEA... hints my nails not being done! LOL

I knew were on the same page about wanting to get married and have a family together but I was convinced that would be down the road. I did wonder when and how the proposal would happen and I was mostly hoping he knew what kind of ring I would like since I had NO idea!! LOL

On October 9, 2020, it was a pretty normal Friday- it was a BEAUTIFUL day out. I had a few calls for work in the morning, but Todd and I had plans to eat lunch out on the boat.. which is such a nice break between calls and meetings! I just had to be back at my laptop by 4:00PM so I could take a call. Todd and I joined a boat club back in March (which has been AMAZING- I will have to share more about that another time) We took a boat out of the Downtown St Petersburg Marina and went out to Egmont Key. The 25 minute ride getting out to Egmont Key was super windy and choppy, but we made it!

We anchored out and ate our lunch on the boat in the shade and then we set up on the beach with our chairs, towel, music and cooler. As we were sitting there we started talking about our relationship and our future and how happy we were.. I still had NO idea.. I thought it was more of a discussion...obviously looking back I realize this was a very intentional conversation and looking back it’s very clear 😂 but I was just loving the conversation and all the sweet things Todd was saying 🤣) ..I literally had no idea IT what was happening until Todd pulled out a ring box and the most beautiful ring- that I loved!! He got on one knee and asked me to marry him... I said yes!

I'm sure that Todd has a whole other side of the story that includes him going to The RockShop to not only pick out a diamond but create my entire ring! He did amazing and I love even more than he picked out every detail himself. We need Todd to get on here to share his side of the story!!

The only thing better than knowing we get to spend forever together was sharing the news with all our friends and family! We are so grateful for the prayers and support from our friends and family!
