This weekend Todd and I had the most amazing time celebrating our engagement surrounded by family and friends. We are so grateful to have friends and family come from all over the state to be there with us to celebrate. When we started putting together plans for the party about a month ago we both agreed that good food and close friends in a beautiful setting was all we needed.
Every single aspect of the party exceeded our expectations. The weather was cool but made being outside enjoyable, the food and décor were incredible and we got to enjoy it all with some of our favorite people.
Invites
We used Paperless Post to create our digital invitations and email them out to everyone. We loved how easy it was to create a personalized invitation and then track our guests responses. Paperless Post also makes it super easy to communicate with all your guests individually and then also allows you to send out mass communication to remind people to RSVP or send a thank you note after.
The Dream Team
Fred is a long time family friend of our family and business partners with Mr. Nisbett. Fred brought the most talented team of people from Fresh Made Kitchen Catering (FMK Catering) The FMK team created and executed the décor and all the food for the evening perfectly. Shout out to Autumn, Brittany, Ezekiel and Josh for all of the time and hard work they put into the night so we could just enjoy the night without worrying about anything at all!
The Decor
With the perfect porch and pool area to host the party, the final touches included a custom T & J Ice Sculpture, flower centerpieces, welcome sign and photo wall not a detail was missed and these small details really pulled everything together!
The Food (the best part..)
Every party needs amazing food and the FMK team hit it out of the park... The menu the team created included
2-tier Ice Sculpture with Shrimp Cocktail, King Crab Legs, Oysters and Tuna Soba
Butler passed filet chimi, smoked salmon + cucumber, spinach and artichoke crostini, street corn fritters and coconut chicken with pineapple glaze
Charcuterie Table with Proscuitto, Sallami, Mortadella, Cheese, Olives, Pickles, Berries, Grapes, Herbs, Nuts and Fruit
Dessert Table with Dark Chocolate Strawberries, white chocolate cherries, Bourbon Truffles, churros, strawberry shortcake bites, Tartlettes with coffee and hot chocolate station
Family and Friends
We had so many of our closest friends and family that were able to join us to celebrate. Our families have met many times so it was really fun for everyone to get to spend time together and it was awesome to have some of closest friends meet each other.
The best part is that this is just the beginning, the big day is coming in May and we can’t wait!
